Draft Forecasts
Save your work as you go and publish when you're ready.
How Drafts Work
Every forecast starts as a draft. You don't have to finish everything in one sitting — save your progress and come back later.
Saving a Draft
From Step 2 onward in the creation wizard, a "Save Draft" button appears in the header. Click it at any point to save your current progress. The system fills in sensible defaults for any fields you haven't set yet:
No map regions are required to save a draft — you can save with just a title and category.
Finding Your Drafts
Drafts appear in your Forecasts dashboard, sorted above published forecasts so they're easy to find. You can also filter by status to see only drafts.
Draft rows in the dashboard link directly to the edit page (not the detail page) so you can pick up where you left off.
Draft Visibility
Publishing a Draft
You can publish a draft in two ways:
1. Continue editing — click through the wizard and publish at the final step
2. Quick publish — from the draft detail page, click "Publish" in the draft banner
Once published, the forecast gets a public URL and appears on your profile.
