Share via link, social media, or download images. How OG cards and social previews work.

Sharing Options

Every published forecast comes with multiple sharing options built in.

Direct Link

Copy the forecast URL and share it anywhere. The link works on all devices and shows the full forecast detail page with your map, predictions, timing, and narrative.

Social Media

When you share your forecast link on X (Twitter), Facebook, iMessage, or other platforms, an auto-generated social card (OG image) shows up in the preview. This includes:

  • Your forecast title and event dates
  • Accumulation ranges or weather conditions
  • Your forecaster name and brand colors
  • A visual map preview

    • Download Images

    Download HD forecast images in three sizes:

  • Story — (1080x1920) — for Instagram/Facebook Stories
  • Post — (1080x1080) — for Instagram/Facebook feed
  • Wide — (1200x630) — for X/Twitter and general sharing

    • Embed Widget

    Get a one-line embed code to add a live forecast widget to any website. The widget updates automatically when you edit your forecast. See the embedding guide for details.

    OG Image Templates

    Forecaster HQ generates social cards using two templates:

  • Dark — Dark background, high contrast. Stands out in social feeds.
  • Light — Light background, clean and minimal. Professional look.

    • Set your preferred template and brand colors in Settings and they'll apply to all your forecasts.
