What the National Weather Service says

At 350 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong shower capable of producing a landspout near Wyse Fork, or 10 miles southeast of Kinston, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Jasper, Wyse Fork, Dover, Cove City, and Trenton.
