* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Turkey Creek near Wilber.
* WHEN...Until late Sunday night.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Portions of County Road O, located north of Highway 41, may begin to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Saturday was 15.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening and continue falling to 3.1 feet Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 12.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.5 feet on 06/18/1990. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
What to do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
